Alligators- Florida

Tom was so happy when we found gators to wrestle. OK, well, we didn't actually wrestle but it was awesome to be able to hold some of these guys. One even took a leak on Tom- kind of funny. Anyway, the guy helping us said that the small one liked hugs so guess what I got- a hug by an Alligator. Pretty cool!

Sandcastles & Sunsets- Florida

Tom and I loved the beach when we were in Florida. This beach was outside our condo and as you can see it was really big. The sand was white and so soft. Just a 3 minute walk away on our same beach was a sandcastle contest. We weren't able to see them completed but they were awesome from what had been done so far.

Scarecrow Festival

While Jason & Aspen were getting ready to move Amanda & I took Nora, Ada and Holland to the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point this fall. It was really a fun place.

Cute little Nora with her painted rainbow.
Nora was courageous going up but coming down was a different story. Aunt Heather got to rescue her more than once.

Ada, Holland, Me and Nora.

Some of the reasons I love my girls!

Photo Session- Again!

I'm very lucky to have my sister, Amanda, who will humour me with taking photos of the girls. As always, we get great pictures. Now all we need is more wall space.

Happy Halloween!

The last couple of years I decorated and dressed up and so I think some have come to expect it and I expected it of myself but this year had a few hiccups and so there are no crazy Heather pictures. But after realizing that I shouldn't leave voting absentee ballot to the last day and standing in line for over an hour and then thinking I could make 20 fancy Carmel apples and still decorate and dress up like a clown or goddess (couldn't decide) by mid- afternoon which by the way is when kids started to come- ridiculous. Anyway, needless to say, next year will be different and yes, Tyler, I will dress-up. So enjoy the few pics I could round up.

The cousins and their creations.

Brooke and her friends- quite creative!

Brit's New York Yankees Pumpkin

Brooke's creation- with the help of Brent, the new pumpkin carving master (since Paul left).

Dead Men Do Tell Tales- Murder Mystery Dinner

We had such a great time. We couldn't keep from laughing when we all got to the party hosted by my sister Amanda.

My mom was Mrs. Hornswoggle- The Landlady and my dad was Lord Hiram Cheape- The Governor.

I (Heather) was Sukey 'Sugar' Sayles- The Farmer's Daughter and Tom was Diego Doubloon- The Spanish Privateer.

Aspen was Ima O'Pare- The Governess and Jason was Yves Eaux- The Corsair- a pirate.

Dan was Even Keel- The Powder Monkey and Amanda was Bertha Bilgewater- The Serving Wench.
Last, but not least, Julie (Brad's girlfriend) was Habaka Da'bora- The Witch Doctor and Brad was Lieutenant Lee Shore- The Naval Officer.

Anyway, fun and laughs were had by all and I ended up being the muderer or should i say murderess.

Soccer Awards!

Brit had her Soccer Awards Banquet which is always a fun time to look back at the season. But especially for seniors it can be an emotional time. We are so proud of Brit. The awards she was given: Region IV All Region- 2nd Team (Senior Defender), Academic All State Nominee, Region IV All Region Academic Excellence Award, Athletic Varsity Letter- 2nd Sport, & 7 Under 11 Club.

We love you Britney!

Soccer

Brit's last region soccer game was played at Lehi at night. She was such a good sport through a tough year. She has made us really proud to be her parents. We love her so much. These next two pics are of that game.

These last pics are of the 5A Region All-Star game which she was invited to play. The coaches of the other teams are the ones who vote for the All-Star players. Way to go Brit!

Seattle Girls Get-Away

We had a great time in Seattle. Our rental was on a little bay that filled and emptied twice a day with the tide. The homes were beautiful and everything was so green. We ate some great seafood and did some shopping, site seeing, and went to an aquarium on the wharf. It was great seeing my sister Stephanie which I don't see very often since she moved to Alaska.

The view from the deck of our vacation rental. The views were so gorgeous.

The view of Seattle on our way back to the airport on a ferry.

Amanda, Stephanie & I- posing in front of one of the markets. Just above Fishermans Wharf.

Of course, we had to eat at the Crabpot where they dump your dinner on the table. I'm just glad it didn't crawl away. Amanda & I above and my mother & Stephanie below.

Happy Birthday Brooke!

Brooke turned 14 on the 24th. Finally! Anyway, Brit was so sweet and picked up Brooke and a friend from school and took her to lunch at Pizza Factory. The cooks in the back sent her home with a pizza in the shape of a 14. So cool!

On Sunday we had Oreo birthday cake and ice cream with the Duncans and we celebrated cute little McKay's 3rd birthday also.
